Why You Should Stop Apologizing for What You Want
As we close the books on 2020 and start making plans and setting intentions for 2021, there’s one thing that we all need to promise ourselves.
In 2021, can we agree that we will stop apologizing for what we want?
Because you don’t have to justify the things that you want.
So many of us are guilty of this, and it always winds up holding us back.
Stop Trying to Justify
For example… Do you ever find yourself scrolling through real estate ads and saying, “Wow. I’d love to have a big, beautiful house like that one day?”
But then you tell yourself that you really don’t need all that space?
Or do you see an ad for a shiny new car with a big red bow on it and think, “It would be so cool to drive one of those!”
But then you remind yourself that the old car you’re currently driving runs just fine and you don’t need the latest and greatest ride.
STOP. DOING. THAT.
It’s as simple as this:
You want what you want because you want it.
Period. No apologies.
There’s nothing else.
It’s Time To Stop Denying Yourself
You want something because you want it.
And there’s nothing wrong with that.
You don’t have to apologize for it or validate it in some way.
You don’t have to come up with a reason you NEED it
You deserve everything you want and then some. Yes. Really.
