5 Reasons Health Coaches Need A Coach
Ready to hear one of the most mind-blowing quotes I have ever heard?
Here it is!
You might want to pause and repeat that a few more times and allow it to soak in.
This “aha quote” was just a small taste of the many high-level conversations that we had at a five-star hotel suite in New York City for two power-packed days during the Queen Retreat.
What is the Queen Retreat, you ask?
It was a life-changing weekend where Transformational Coach and Business Mentor, Gina DeVee led myself and ten other women from around the world to tap into our true desires and gain clarity on how to achieve them.
In my personal experience — with the years of running my own coaching business — I’ve found I’m most in my power when I have a coach too!
Whether you’re just starting your health coaching business or you’ve been running a successful coaching business for years, upleveling and receiving guidance from a coach isn’t a luxury, it is a necessity to be successful.
That is unless you want to take the slow and lonely road. (Just saying!)
Why do I believe having a coach as a coach is so important?
Read on because I’m going to share five stories (with examples) to help you see how having your own coach can truly help you become more successful!
5 REASONS HEALTH COACHES NEED A COACH
1. COACHES SHINE A LIGHT ON HIDDEN SELF-MADE LIMITS
I’d love to say I didn’t have any “hidden” self-made limits, but I did (hello, I’m human too)!
During my coaching sessions with Gina, it became so clear to me that I’d been emotionally carrying around some past money traumas and putting a glass ceiling on my potential.
After our session, I felt like I’d lost 100 pounds by realizing that I’d subconsciously connected actions and income with pain. (Mind-blowing, right?!)
My brain had been acting as if it was protecting me when in reality it was holding me back.
We all have our “money stuff,” so here is a quick wealth consciousness warm up for you. Think about your money mindset and past life events, where are you connecting the two and possibly limiting yourself?
Grab a pen and a notebook and write down what comes up!
Awareness is the first step, so now you can move forward!
2. THEY SHARE PAST EXPERIENCES AND INSIGHTS
Before I was able to forgive myself from my past money stories fully, Gina shared with me her past money “mistakes” and life lessons.
After hearing her truth, I was able to finally forgive and set myself free of my perception of my past mistakes.
You see, sometimes it takes hearing stories from a coach who has the experience to help you move past your own “stuff.”
When you work with a coach, you have the unique opportunity to see similarities and learn proven steps towards success instead of staying stuck.
You know successful people don’t go it alone, right?
3. THEY SHOW YOU A PROCESS YOU CAN FOLLOW
Have you ever taken a road trip without having a map, GPS, route, or cell phone? I didn’t think so…
Why would you want to go it all alone while trying to build a successful health coaching business? (Exactly, you shouldn’t!)
I get it! If you’re like me, as strong, independent, educated, and passionate souls, we sometimes think we have something to prove to ourselves and others. Right?
We think we can do it all, learn it all, and never ask for help. (Trust me when I say you CAN do it all and learn it all, but having a coach makes it a million times easier!)
If you are just starting your health coaching business or if you are trying to take your business to the next level, you can get results faster and make more money by learning from someone who has already figured it out!
4. THEY GIVE YOU ACCOUNTABILITY AND ACTION STEPS
How many times have you secretly thought about doing something and then….never do it?
On the other hand, how many times have you told someone you were going to do something AND then you actually did it?
See the difference? That, my friends, is accountability!
It is not uncommon for people to get overwhelmed when setting new goals they haven’t yet accomplished. The glory of having a coach who has done it is that they can help you break down a big goal into smaller steps.
Here’s an example:
Suzi wants to make $10k a month with her health coaching business!
She’s been making $5k a month but wants to uplevel so she can hire a virtual assistant and go on a vacation.
Your coach who has made $10k, $50k, $100k a month (or more) can see the way to help you make it simple because she’s done it!
Together, the package Suzi and her coach co-created is with a 90-day coaching package of only $2,500 per client. That is only four one-on-one clients to hit the income goal of $10,000 a month!
See how it doesn’t look so scary after all?
5. THEY POUR INTO YOU
After helping your health coaching clients, do you ever feel “full” or “drained”?
Yep! That’s a sign that you are passionate and poured your heart and soul into them.
However, there’s usually a limit to this, and then you really become overdue for your coaching, self-care, or therapy too!
When you work with a coach, you’ll too have someone show up and pour some back into you! Plus it’s a great way to feel truly heard, which is essential for everyone! (Even Health Coaches!)
Giving + receiving = universal law.
Practicing what you preach includes having a coach too.
Having your own coach can help ensure that you are making time for yourself so you can perform at your highest level.
When you are working and living as the best version of yourself, you’re able to make more money and more impact!
Are you ready to step into being the best Health Coach you can be?
Invest in yourself by getting a coach who can shine a light on your hidden self-limits, share insights, show you a process, model habits for you, give you accountability, and most importantly — pour back into you!
